We build tools we'd want to pay for

Our story
From weekend data tool to GTM engine
2021: the itch
We were the analysts googling for datasets and hitting paywalls, stale CSVs, and APIs that wanted code. So we built a tool that made querying any API one click, with a free tier and a Discord where we answered everything ourselves.
2022: the insight
Thousands of data APIs existed, and none of them talked to each other. Databar 2.0 connected them in one spreadsheet: pick a provider, add columns, run. Enrichments were born and the catalog started compounding.
Today: the engine
160+ providers behind waterfalls, flows, and CRM sync, with an API, a CLI, and MCP so your agents can drive it too. Still small. Still shipping weekly. Still answering every email.
The bet
Big isn't the same as right
The biggest names in this market raised hundreds of millions to become platforms. We took the other path: stay small, integrate everything, and charge for answers instead of seats. A small team can't afford bloat, so every feature has to earn its keep, and every customer has to want to stay. We think that constraint is exactly what a data tool needs.

What we optimize for
Values we can be held to
Use what we sell
Databar's own outbound, enrichment, and CRM hygiene run on Databar. Every rough edge lands on our desk before it lands on yours.
Ship weekly
Small team, short path from feedback to release. We build, ship, and tell you what changed, every week since 2021.
Charge for answers
You pay when a cell fills, not for seats or shelfware. If a provider misses, the waterfall moves on and your money stays put.
The team
Small on purpose
Two humans and one very busy agent. Our mission: make the data infrastructure that used to require enterprise contracts affordable to every team that sells.
