The city known for its glamorous Hollywood scene and weather, LA boasts a population of over 4 million people, making it the second most in the United States. It's home to world-renowned tourist destinations such as Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and the famous Hollywood Boulevard. However, the city also has a reputation for high crime rates, making it a hassle in many instances such as deciding when to go out or buy a new home.
With our Crimeometer integration, you can analyze the most crime-intensive spots for real estate investments and decisions.
Using the Crimeometer API
We'll take you through the Crime Statistics endpoint, which shows the total number of crime incidents, and the total number of incidents per incident type in a defined area and time period.
-
Go to the Crime Statistics endpoint page.
-
Click Try me.
-
Under the Request Parameters, enter the Latitude, Longitude, Distance, and Start/End Date of the location. In this example, we're looking at the crime statistics for Westwood Village during March 2022.

-
Click Run.
As seen below, all the crime statistics for the inputted location appear, showing a clear distinction by type of crime. Feel free to edit the parameters and look for any other locations across the United States.
